Brief Synopsis of the movies

Aashiqui 2 – Rahul Jaykar (Aditya) used to a very popular rockstar, but his addiction to alcohol and his depression cost him his fame. However when he meets a budding singer Aarohi (Shraddha) his life completely changes and he decides to make her the next singing sensation. As she climbs the ladders of success he is left behind and pretty soon jealousy creeps in. The movie stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor and is directed by Mohit Suri.

Shootout At Wadala – The movie starts in the 70′s. Manya Surve( John Abraham) is a bright college student but is wrongly sent to jail, upon his release he decides to take over the underworld. However he has to take care of the rival gang the Haksar brothers, Zubair ( Manoj Bajpayee) and Dilawar(Sonu Sood). Both Gangs want to control the city however trigger happy cop Aafaque Bagraan(Anil Kapoor) has plans to wipe them all out. The movie stars Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Kangana Ranaut, Manoj Bajpayee, Sonu Sood and Tusshar Kapoor and is directed by Sanjay Gupta.

Fauladi Rakshak – This is a dubbed Hindi version of Iron Man 3. The review for this movie is the same as Iron Man 3 and the review is mentioned below in Iron Man 3.

Bombay Talkies – Story 1 by Karan Johar is about a gay man Avinash (Saqib Saleem) who befriends Gayatri (Rani) who is married to Dev (Hooda). They have a loveless marriage and surprisingly sparks fly between Avinash and Dev. Story 2 by Dibakar Bannerjee has Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing as Purandhar. He has a theater background and gets a tiny role in Bollywood, will he make it big? Story 3 by Zoya Akhtar is about a little boy named Vicky (Naman) who idolizes Katrina Kaif, and wants to dance on ‘Sheela ki jawaani’, however his father is against this. Story 4 by Anurag Kashyap is about Vijay who has come all the way from Allahabad, on the demand of his father to get Amitabh Bachchan to taste a murabba. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Katrina Kaif and the directors are Karan Johar, Dibakar Bannerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap.

Iron Man 3 – After saving the planet (in Avengers), one might think that playboy-philanthropist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr), would feel stronger and better however those events make him more anxious. That’s when the unsuspecting hero is faced with dreadful threats from the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), a Middle Eastern terrorist, who is set to destroy America with his army of indestructible lava men. Will the Iron Man defeat the Mandarin. The movie stars Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall and is directed by Shane Black.

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Lodhi Road, Delhi

This stadium is a multipurpose sports arena which hosts football and other sport events, as well as large-scale entertainment events. The Stadium was built by the Government of India to host the 9th Asian Games in 1982 after which it hosted the 1989 Asian Championships in Athletics and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The stadium’s all-seater facility can accommodate 60,000 spectators and up to 100,000 for concerts. When compared to other stadiums, the seating capacity of this multipurpose stadium is the fourth largest in India and the 51st largest in the world. The stadium also houses the headquarters of the Indian Olympic Association.

Nehru Stadium Delhi also played host to Amnesty International’s Human Rights Now! Benefit Concert which was held on 30th September 1988. The concert was headlined by Sting and Peter Gabriel, and also featured Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tracy Chapman, Youssou N’Dour, and Ravi Shankar. The project was led and managed by Mr. Ramji Lal from CPWD.

The Stadium has also hosted One Day International matches featuring India: against Australia in 1984, and South Africa in 1991.

Features of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi

Some of the new features added to the stadium so that it is up to the international standards include a 53,800 m² Teflon-coated roof which designed by Schlaich Bergermann & Partner and built at a cost of ₹ 308 crore. The stadium also has a Electro-Voice professional audio system by Bosch Communications, a 10-lane synthetic track, synthetic warm-up track, and a synthetic lawn ball field were added, as well as two new venues constructed next to the stadium for Games: four synthetic greens for the lawn bowls event and a 2,500-seat gymnasium for the weightlifting event. A 400-metre warm-up track has also been constructed. Also if there is an emergency, the spectators can be evacuated with 6 minutes.

The Stadium was the main venue for the 2010 Commonwealth Games where both the opening and closing ceremonies as well as athletics events for the Delhi Games were conducted. The Stadium will also host the 2013 South Asian Games.

When his widower father (Pawan Malhotra) remarries a woman named Diana (Konkana Sen Sharma) he equates his step mother to a witch and his mind keeps playing tricks on him and from then on he gets deeper into black magic. Commando A One Man Army – A small town villain AK-74(Jaideep Ahlawat) is besotted by a local beauty Simrit Kaur(Pooja Chopra) and wants to have his way with her. She decides to escape the village however she is chased by his goons. In the jungle she meets commando Karanveer Dogra(Vidyut Jammwal) who protects her from the hired thugs. The movie stars Vidyut Jammwal, Pooja Chopra, Jaideep Ahlawat and is directed by Dilip Ghosh.

Chashme Baddoor – Three friends, Omi (Sharma) a really bad poet, Jai (Siddharth) a wanna be hero and Sid (Zafar) the only straight guy are living the life in Goa. They are friends with cafe owner Joseph Futado (Kapoor) who has a crush on landlady Josephine (Dubey). However when Seema (Pannu) enters the scene the friendship is tested with both Omi and Jai lying that they had an affair with Pannu. Nautanki Saala – One night theater actor/director Ram Parmar (Ayushmann) saves a depressed person Mandar Lele (Kunaal) from killing himself. He also decides to give him a part in his play and reunite him with his estranged girlfriend Nandini (Pooja). However his good intentions don’t go the way he planned.
